There were many bits through out the day but only this beauty was kept. Sea Bass and Porgies were also taken home for some. Always check with us due to the ever changing weather as to our sailing times.Sunday, Sept. 20thDespite really tough conditions today Bill H. managed to bring in a BEAUTIFUL 10.25 lb. Fluke.Saturday, Sept. 19thFirst day out since Tuesday. As expected tough day. No bite in the usual places today. We will try offshore tomorrow. Thursday, Sept. 17thThursday's Full Day Ocean trip is cancelled due to the Ocean forecast.Wednesday, Sept. 16thDidn't sail today due to the weatherTuesday, Sept. 15thFirst drift started out with ten fluke. then the current went ot he west and it killed the drift and the bite. We ended up picking at another spot for some more keppers an dshorts w/some nicerkeepers coming over the rail...up to 8lbs. Since we lost last Wed. to a BAD forecast we will be out there in the morning. Otherwise, we hope to see the fluking back to normal after this new moon on Friday.Monday 9-14We found some fluke that wanted to bite, off in the deep. After looking around for a while, we ended up in an area w/decent life. Ended up keeping 4 fluke out of about 50. Fishing will imporve with some settled weather.Saturday 9/12Didn't sail today will be out tomorrowFriday 9/11 Nights Trip is cancelled Thursday 9/10 and Fridays 9/11 (we will always remember!) The last 2 big storms shut down fishing and over the last couple of days the ocean has come back together. We will be looking to maybe sail tomorrow, depending on the conditions. We will start over after Danny leaves so check with us daily on the Ocean forecast.Tuesday, August 25th-Full Day Ocean RSA FLUKEThe post-storm recovery has begun. The morning was bleak, with only a handful of shorts, and an equal amount of bites to count. There was a bit of bite in the afternoon, when we caught a few keepers and had decent short life. Hopefully the fish settle up quickly.Monday, August 24th-Full Day Ocean RSA FLUKEDidn't sail todayWeather forecasted for FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY August 21-23The Ocean forecast is not good for all three days. We will do a shortened Bay trip for anyone interested. We will sail at 7 and return to the dock around noon. The forecast for Monday is good. Tuesday and the rest of the week look great. Perfect weekend to join Capt. Whit for a Night Trip. Friday-Sunday 8 pm to Midnight....come on down!Thursday, August 20th Full Day RSA FlukeVery good fishing today on the Ocean for a great group of people. Many quality fluke were caught, up to ten pounds (pool fish), and some anglers were throwing back nice keepers to catch for another day.If the OCEAN forecast is questionable give us a call to check out the forecast If we can't get out to the Ocean we will be happy to do a limited 5 hour Bay trip for those that show up!Wednesday, Auguat 19th-Full Day RSA FLUKESteady fishing most of the day, w/a midday lull. Ended the day w/good catch of large Fluke, w/some keeper-size fish being returned for another day and some anglers limiting out on RSA regulations 20 inch 4 fish bag.Tuesday, August 18th-Full Day RSA FLUKEGood Strong bite in the morning. EXCELLENT short life w/a good amount of keepers mixed in, but he current changed before noon and slowed things down drastically.Monday, August 17th-Full Day Fluke TripFishing picked up nicely today,both in shorts, twenty inch fish, and twenty-one inch keeper fish. Hopefully the trend will continue as we end the "official" season and head into the PERMIT FLUKE SEASON. TRADEWINDS II will be FLUKE FISHING TILL OCTOBER.Sunday, August 16th-Full Day Fluke TripTough day again today for such a beautiful day on the Ocean. Nice fish by some with some anglers limiting out. Conditions were against us again today. Saturday, August 15th-Full Day Fluke TripTough picky fishing today. 25 keepers for the day with the pool fish weighing in over 7 lbs. Beautiful day on the Ocean except for the lack of drift.Friday, August 14th -Full Day Fluke TripTough drift and conditions today but Capt. Whit put together a decent catch considering. 25 keepers out of 100 fish caught with pool fish over 7 lbs.Thursday, August 13thDidn't sail today but weather is looking great for the weekend!Wednesday, August 12thStiff east winds made fishing very difficult today. We managed to keep eight fluke out of eighty, w/pool fish being about seven pounds. Fifteen big sea bass helped out the catch.Tuesday, August 11thFishing was picky again today, w/only half a boat limit caught. Short life was pretty good, and we had a six foot thresher on for a few minutes after he hung around the lines for a while. He was looking for Wagner and was disappointed that he wasn't fishing today!Monday, August 10thPicky fishing today ending up with a fair catch for the day.Sunday, August 9thTough fishing today but was able to put together a catch late in the day.Saturday, August 8thWe've had a slow pick all day. The first drift was good for a dozen keepers, but after that they drift, and the fishing slowed down. Ended up w/an average catch of fish, but they never truned on like they did the last couple of days.Friday, August 7thGood Fishing today for all. Fishing remains consistently good with plenty of nice fish coming over the rail. 9.3 lb. pool fishThursday, August 6thVery slow drift all day. We picked at shorts and keepers slowly to put together a pretty good catch for those that worked at it. Slowest day this week with about 2 dozen keepers.Wednesday, August 5thCapt. Whit reports great fishing today with the pool fish over 8 lbs. again. Lots of short action and most anglers limited out throwing back many keepersTuesday, August 4thOn and off bite all day. ended up w/a good catch of keepers, up to eight pounds. Pool fish was over 8 lbs. and ended the day with a fair catch.Sunday, August 2ndToday the conditions were horrible up until noon, and we were only able to land 4 keepers and pick at forty shorts. We got fishable conditions around 12:30, and were able to catch some fish. About 30 fish over all with no giants like we have been seeing.Saturday, August 1stTonights Squid Trip is CancelledSaturday Fluke TripPicked away in the morning under tough conditions for a fair catch. When conditions improved in the afternoon, we were unable to get them going. Ended up with a good catch of keepers but short life was not as good to fill the voids. We sailed early to try and get a daylight bite, since we have been catching many on fluke bait during the day. The fishing did not get good till dark. Then the bite got good, with triple headers of big squid coming up at times. The regular Fluke season closes today but we will continue to Fluke with our RSA permit.Sunday June 14, 2009Good Fishing today. 25 JUMBO FLUKE out of 100 fish for a light crowd. At 11:30am Capt. Paul called in to say that Mrs Kim had a beautiful 8 + Fluke! Where in the world was WAGNER?Saturday June 13th Good bite this morning for a very light crowd. Ninety fluke caught keeping 7. Bait is moving in and dogfish are moving out!Weekend of 6/13 and 14th~Come on down for a great weekend of fishing and company! We will be Fluking ALL SUMMER~even during the Fluke closure with our RSA permit so don't be left behind!Weather has kept us at the dock again for the week of 6/8. Finally we are out on a beautiful day, Saturday, June 6. Dog action for the weekend slowing down. Hand full of keeps with some short life. Friday, May 22Good improvement today over yesterday, when we only caught five flue for a day covering a lot of ocean. Today, we caught sixty fluke for ten anglers, mostly smaller fish. Those are the first to eat after a shut-down of the bite, so we expect to see the better fish turning on in the coming days. EVENING CASTING TRIP THURSDAY-SUNDAY 6 pm - 10 pm.
